Every time you use the Internet, you leave behind a "digital shadow" that can be tracked by a host of unseen online companies - or even the government. From surveillance of social networking profiles to warrantless seizure of your laptop at the border, this panel discussion will explore how the law lags behind technology in protecting user rights. Join the Electronic Frontier on Campus, the ACLU of San Diego, Privacy Rights Clearinghouse, and the Electronic Frontier Foundation for an informal panel discussion about how technology is changing our relationship to privacy and what you can do to safeguard your civil liberties in the digital world. |
